PRE-TATTOO APPOINTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
→
Please eat something and hydrate before your tattoo appointment.
You may bring a non-alcoholic drink.
AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
→
Do NOT soak your tattoo:
Avoid swimming, baths, jacuzzis, or water skiing until the skin is healed.
Protect your tattoo from the sun:
Wear light clothing over the tattoo while it heals. Once it’s healed, apply SPF.
Exercise is fine after 24-48 hours:
Be sure to shower and clean your tattoo immediately afterward.
IF WE USE SANIDERM / SECOND SKIN:
→
Bandage Care:
Leave the bandage on for 3-5 days, as long as no plasma or blood is leaking.
It's normal for fluid to build up inside the bandage; this will dry by the third day.
If Bandage Leaks (and you’re not home):
Wash your hands with soap and water.
Gently push excess fluid out of the bandage and leave it until you can get home.
Do NOT remove the bandage in a public restroom.
Removing the Bandage:
In the shower, use hot/warm water to help remove the bandage.
Start from the top of the tattooed area, pulling it off slowly, like removing a command strip. This may take 10-15 minutes.
IF WE USE TRADITIONAL BANDAGES:
→
Leave bandage on all night until the next morning.
If bandage is slipping, coming off or irritating, leave bandage on for at least 4 hours, then remove and follow the steps below.
POST-REMOVAL CARE:
Wash the tattoo with antibacterial soap and warm water. Ensure all soap and residue are removed. A shower is best for hard-to-reach areas.
Pat the area dry with a paper towel.
Allow the tattoo to air dry for a few minutes until completely dry.
Do NOT re-bandage.
Moisturizing:
Apply a very thin layer of white, fragrance-free lotion 1-3 times daily for at least the first 3 weeks.
Scabbing:
If your tattoo develops scabs, do NOT pick or scratch. Let the scabs come off naturally.
→
SIGNS OF INFECTION:
Monitor your tattoo for signs of infection, which may include:
Excessive redness or swelling around the tattoo.
Pus or fluid oozing from the tattoo.
Increased pain or tenderness.
Fever or chills.
If you notice any of these signs, contact a healthcare professional immediately.
→
HEALING DURATION:
Most tattoos heal within 2-4 weeks, but complete healing can take up to 6 weeks or longer for deeper layers of skin. During this time, it’s important to follow all aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing.

Let’s make this the best experience possible.
